Johnny Cash, Holy Communion over the phone, Dr. Gene Scott and Trains
Read the article. Its all in there. And, to be fair, it is a very good read. Great view of Johnny Cash and his last years and his last few recordings.

Greg, your synopsis of the article did it for me - I'm not a fan of Vanity Fair. To me it's one of those pretentious "New York" magazines. But I did read a bit of it before taking it to single-page format and searching for the Dr. Gene Scott reference. Man, does that bring back some memories!!! Did you ever see his daughter do her schtick just like his? Pretty amazing stuff. Man, I need to find some Dr. Gene Scott videos....Oh yes, and JC is AWESOME!
