The weather forecast in Gregorian chant

This makes me laugh. I hope no one thinks it blasphemous. Oh well, cannot help that.

I don't know how to upload mp3's on blogger so here is the link.

Thanks to the Confessing Evangelical for pointing it out.

Minor point, but it is Anglican chant, not gregorian. Gregorian doesn't do harmony.

Lincoln is right. It is Anglican chant. But for some reason I just don't think it'd be nearly as funny in Gregorian. It would be funny though. And I think we should get Ben Mayes to do it.

Well, in my defense, it was posted as Gregorian chant and ... I didn't stop to think of the difference.

Still funny.

We were visiting England in 1970 and we ran across this. My father loved it so much, he bought the 45. He then solemnly delivered it to our local radio station every April Fool's Day, so it could be played in the morning drive news as the weather forecast. Does anyone know what was on the flip side of the 45?
